Cuts to Emergency Services, $14million for bins? Is this where the new tax is going??

Using the good name of Emergency Service personnel to introduce this tax is duplicitous! Wasting the money on more Vic Alp waste and not funding emergency services putting lives of the community at risk is ludicrous!

14 million for bins? Is this where the new tax is going?? In a fair and honest society where Governments are of integrity and accountable to the people this rubbish (sic) would not happen!

Every Victorian will be impacted by Jacinta Allan’s and Jaclyn Symes New Tax.

Using the good name of Emergency Service personnel to introduce is duplicitous!

It is a Tax grab that does nothing for Emergency Services, it is being used to plug holes in a budget riddled with projects that are over budget – the money being stripped from local communities and sent straight to Spring St.

In fact there will be cuts to: FRV, CFA and SES.

Treasurer Jaclyn Symes & Premier Jacinta Allan Deceiving Victorians as they up this Wrongful Tax that Won’t go to Emergency Services. Stop the Tax!

Former Emergency Services Minister and now Treasurer, Jaclyn Symes, lets the cat out of the bag.

Well done to Wodonga Council for advocating strongly on behalf of their community, particularly noting the extra financial burden it will place on them.
This new tax impacts every single Victorian, yet despite its introduction Jacinta Allan has forecast CUTS to our Emergency Services this year, as per the Government Gazette of 30 May 2025.
